Something new is coming to Bansko this summer. 🍗

While Smokey Mountain takes its usual summer break, we’ll be opening a brand-new concept in our lobby bar and garden:

PILAY Fried Chicken

It’s an idea we’ve had in the works since 2020, and we’re excited to finally bring it to life.

Expect crispy fried chicken, cold drinks, relaxed summer evenings, and plenty of time in the garden.

And for our Smokey Mountain regulars—don’t worry. We’ll be back as usual for the winter season with the burgers, BBQ, and good times you know us for.

🔥 WE’RE HIRING – CHEF WANTED 🍔

Smokey Mountain Bar & Grill is looking for an experienced and dependable Chef to run our kitchen for the summer season.

Our menu will be based around a simple, fast food menu, so we’re looking for someone who can work confidently and efficiently on their own while maintaining high standards of food quality and cleanliness.
📍 Hours:
• Thursday: 3pm – Close
• Friday – Sunday: 11:30am – Close
The ideal candidate will be organised, self-motivated, and comfortable managing the kitchen solo during service.

That’s a wrap on our winter season at Smokey Mountain ❄️🍻

As we close our doors for the season, we just want to take a moment to properly say thank you.

To our team — the long hours, the energy, and the effort you’ve put in day after day doesn’t go unnoticed. It’s what makes Smokey Mountain what it is.

To every single customer — whether you came in once or every week, thank you. Seeing familiar faces return, and meeting so many new ones along the way, is what makes this place special.

To Phil(sorry it wont let me tag you) our pool tournament host — thank you for bringing the competition, the atmosphere, and the laughs each week.

And to Sarah O'Neill for bringing the Bansko Street Dogs quizzes to Smokey Mountain — we loved it, and so did everyone else.

This season has been full of good nights, great people, and moments we won’t forget any time soon.

We’re incredibly grateful for all the support — it genuinely means a lot.

We’ll be back next winter… but don’t worry, we’re still around over the summer. Dennis will be back after a well-earned break, and you might still catch me and Scott now and then.

Big thanks to everyone who came out to our weekly pool tournament this winter season—players, spectators, and everyone who stopped by to support 🙌

Great atmosphere, good competition, and plenty of laughs all around. It really wouldn’t be the same without all of you showing up week after week and making it what it is.

Special thanks to Phil for hosting again this season—really appreciate the time and effort you put in to keep this going 👏

As we come to the end of our winter season, I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who joined us for coffee & cake over the past few months ☕🍰

The support, the chats, and seeing so many of you come back week after week has meant more than you probably realise.

I’ve had an amazing time baking for you all — trying new ideas, bringing out weekly specials, and (hopefully) giving you a good reason to treat yourself on a Sunday.

And don’t worry… I’m already thinking about what’s coming next season 👀

We’ll be back — bigger, better, and with plenty more cake.
