Averbode Abbey Beer

Averbode Abbey Beer Averbode is a Certified Belgian Abbey Beer. It is brewed by Brewery Huyghe for the Averbode Abbey. As a result the floral notes become much more prevalent.

The Averbode Abbey developed a basket with tasteful, traditional and qualitative products: bread, cheese and beer. In accordance with the abbey tradition this basket brings people together to enjoy a unique taste experience and to live a moment of harmony. The Averbode Abbey beer is a mark of honour and a revaluation of history, as there were already brewing activities (Camer beer and Cleyn beer)

in the abbey from the 14th until the beginning of the 20th century. This blonde multi-grain beer – with malted barley, oat, spelt – of 7.5% ABV has been dry hopped, which means that extra hop is added during cold lagering. This “Certified Belgian Abbey Beer” also has a second fermentation in the bottle. The result is a refreshing, full-mouthed and bitterish beer, offering an intense moment.
