Voskenslaan 67 in Ghent, bike parking is plentiful across the street and around the corner. Parking your ccar in the neighborhood is free after 19h and Gent St. Pieters train station is 300m away.

Magic: the Gathering is the oldest collectible card game in the world. We host weekly events on tuesdays, monthly tournaments and prerelease events every time a new set comes out. Check the calendar on devrolijkeviking.be for exact dates.

Mead is an alcoholic beverage. Made my fermenting the sugars in honey, it was the oldest intoxicating drink available in Europe and had a place in both the society and mythos of the Norse people. You can have it classic or try our rotating roster of mixes and infusions.

Half the tables in the bar have been designed to fit even the most expansive boardgames. We have an ever growing collection of games available to you, free of charge, but you are welcome to bring your own or use our tables for a d&d session.

Pizza started as a bit of a secondary passion project but quickly became a mainstay in de Vrolijke Viking. Many an Italian had been dragged to the bar to try it out and all of them end up admitting it is at least acceptable. Come try for yourself, but be early or make a reservation, because they run out quickly!

De Vrolijke Viking was born in the darkest of times, Covid-19's tail end. In november 2020 the renovations began for when we would eventually be allowed to open on May 8th 2021. It is a longtime dream of Niels, the owner of the bar, to open a place where anyone is welcome as long as respect can flow both ways.
