Probably my favourite thing about doing these weekly mixes is finding artists that don't quite fit the mould. So onwards to one of these for the next installment of the weekly beatnation discoveries.
I owed TAZENTO a bit of an apology yesterday when I realised that he'd sent me his insanely good new single void presence and I forgot to include it in my latest weekly mix. A classic aggrotech banger including a remix by another of my recent discoveries Slichtnacht. But there's a lot more to his music than four to the floor dancefloor tracks. And even when he does those there seem to be layers to discover and breaks to adore. Add to that all the other stuff he releases which ranges from closer to idm, witch house, ambient ... to one of my absolute favourite recent tracks K-Flection. I think I gave it the biggest compliment I could by including it in my Resistanz setlist even though it scared me sh*tless to put it in. An atypical track - partly basically a capella rap and not even fully in English - but so good that it was also one of the first to make the shortlist.
