“Mava otage” from Madagascar... we first bought these beans on@the auction of .nl 2years ago, they where auctioned to help the people on the plantation to invest in new clean water programs. Since then these lovely beans are available through one of our most trusted suppliers.
You see making chocolate isn’t just buying expensive beans, that doesn’t represent the same kind of impact as working with trusted farmers and suppliers does , creating and building real relationships that last.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 🥳, and happy new packaging for , What do you think of the new and improved packaging ??? Thoughts in the comments ;)
Though they’re not 100% ready yet we thought we’d share these with you already 😜.
Starting off with our Indian 69% bar! ( ).
The chocolate remains the same though the packaging has gotten a facelift thanks to the artwork from .create and the design of its now more clear, more stunning, brighter and more beautiful then we could have imagined .
Inside the same delicious chocolate bars, made with .india idukki hills beans and coco blossom sugar. Just !

2020... what a year ... loaded with difficult decisions, ups and downs , but most of all perseverance... for as a company this translates into investing into bringing ourselves out as a consumer brand, next to producing for some great restaurants and hotels and other chocolatiers . A great risk it seemed, a specially when the world was going in lockdown a mo th after our launch on .nl ... we hesitated on pushing forward or not even on just giving up ... though thanks to the togetherness I can say of some amazing people and our own perseverance we got through it ... ready to tackle 2021 with new ideas and thoughts and plans.
We look back on winning 3 on our first year of entry !!! New packaging, new partners we can work together with ... thank you all for believing in us as a brand, as a partner and as your chocolate maker !

There is something to be said about the beauty of chocolate in a melangeur, right ?? This is a tb picture from@the early days of , only 2 years ago but still...
In these times we usually reflect on the past year and were no different, the things that have happened, how we evolved as makers, people and as a community as a whole is actually quite remarkable, I can’t remember a time when more “peace” was between people than the past year, fighting a common, invisible enemy. Sure there were still fights and wars all over the world, though there was more focus on togetherness then ever (in my memory). It just shows me there is hope, hope for all of us to come together, find common ground, communicate and gather (preferably with some craft chocolate 🍫) . Life is -just like the chocolate in the melangeur- a continuous flow, things happen, things change, but only with each-other and together we’ll ma ke it into an even better future for all of us and generations to come.
Have a great end, of the weirdest year in modern history, hopefully you can look back with some warmth and love for the people you care about.

We’re sure that a lot of you guys have seen these on the of page already, since those lovely people are supplying us with the amazing beans that’s no shock right ... but did you know we won 2 X 🥈silver on the 2020 European ?? Wel@... we did 🙌🙌🙌.
After the first time bronze with last year these new and improved fermentation types are even more popular ! Once the new packaging is do e we’ll launch these under a new exciting name... somewhere in Belgium... 😜😜

first up the 82% Ecuador , absolutely loving this bar, a real grown up chocolate, eventhough it’s high % it’s not hotter at all ., light Smokey notes, full bodied character a true delight for any real chocoholic.

I avoided looking at the tasting notes on the front of this packaging like Orpheus avoided looking back at Eurydice to bring her back to life from the underworld (except screwing up at the last second and losing her forever 🙄). But I swear I have been way more diligent than him, and didn’t read the tasting notes until I had my own written down.

Germany can definitely use more craft chocolate makers in its assortment, and Artist chocolate is holding up the German flag high with a great reputation 🍫🇩🇪

This 69% India bar is made with fine cacao from GoGround Beans & Spices Pvt. Ltd. in the Idukki Hills, organic coconut sugar and some added cocoa butter.

This is one of those bars I could smell forever: a mix of spices (cardamom, nutmeg and clove) enriches a strong note of coffee. If spices in hot chocolate are now well accepted in every bar around the world, I think espressos could use some of these flavors too.

The enchanting premise isn’t broken. From the moment the chocolate starts melting in your mouth until the sad goodbye, an incredible complexity of flavors entertains you all along: honey, fudge, cardamom, plums and walnuts bring you a warm, comforting, fuzzy feeling of autumn in your mouth 🌰🍯🍁

Now I clearly remember why this chocolate bar made me open my wallet at Chocoa back in February.
