Good luck to our 2020-21 Officers! 🎉

We would like to thank you for all the amazing work that you have all done over the last year. We have done some great things together, including restructuring the committee organisation, updating the governance and legal aspects of the chamber and successfully transitioning from in-person to virtual events.

We have strengthened BritCham's position as the essential bridge between the UK and the EU and set the framework to ensure that the chamber will continue to grow from here.

This is down to the very hard work that you all put in, and we thank you all for the incredible work you have done over this challenging period.

The BNG Mentoring Scheme which has been established to connect trainees and entry-level professionals (Mentees) with other young, but more experienced professionals (Mentors) has been running for over two months now.

50 young professionals have signed up for the scheme this far and the initiative is continuing to grow!

BNG's first online event 'Virtual Drinks: Meet Brussels New Generation' for young professionals will take place tomorrow evening at 18:30 CET on Zoom.

We will introduce the Core Group, introduce the brand new BNG Mentoring Scheme, and offer advice and tips for living under lockdown.

Each part will be followed by a casual Q&A session. Participants can also submit any questions to [email protected] prior to the event.

Introducing the Brussels New Generation (BNG) Mentoring Scheme for young professionals!

During these uncertain times it is important to remain as interconnected with the business community as possible, and the BNG Mentoring Scheme has been established to connect trainees and entry-level professionals (Mentees) with other young, but more experienced professionals (Mentors).

BNG seeks to create a dynamic community of young professionals that benefit from each other’s advice and perspective, both for those who have just entered the job market and are eager to get the insight of those that have already been through these first stages, and also for more seasoned young professionals who can both give back to the next wave of young professionals and hone their mentoring skills.

Connect with the EP - a sold out event!

So far we have met for introductions, enjoyed a welcome lunch, listened to established MEPs, and gained a fascinating insight from various MEPs assistants and advisors.

With the ‘Everything you wanted to know about the Parliament press service’ and ‘Brexit and the EU: working in extraordinary times’ sessions still to come, and with drinks and networking this evening, the event has meant for a brilliant day, and promised to make for a fun evening!

This week as marked the return of the BNG! On Tuesday evening we enjoyed a Networking Cocktail event filled with speeches, drinks, and bags full of fun. Our next event will take place on 9th - 10th October at the European Parliament, do not miss it!!

Brussels New Generation is organising two half-days of training to help you develop or perfect the knowledge and skills necessary to work effectively with the European Parliament, and enjoy opportunities to build your network with policy makers as well as public affairs experts.
