So I went and saw my accountant today to bribe him to speak at our Small Business event next Thursday. But when I got there I remembered he has daughters, so obviously I told him to come to this Thursday’s Pints And Puberty talk! He blushed a little when I said “period”, but I told him the only blushing he should be doing is French rosé at Wine Tasting classes at Little Cedar, or maybe paired with Jimmy’s fancy hat dinner! I also suggested he excel his skills and come Dancing with (M)Ali on Sunday, which led me to, “OMG Brett, accountants doing N**e Drawing could really help your bottom line.” He blushed again, then m mumbled something about being more of a “numbers man”, to which I very quickly told him to S**U. Ain’t no one talking to me about numbers and fckn men!! I told him about my recent Bunnings trip, then had to explain how the ratio of single women to men has led me to organising Married Speed Dating because statistically, that seems to be the only market with any growth potential. So basically what I’m saying is Brett agreed to be a guest speaker next Thursday if I agreed to get the fck out of his hair. So I left, and now you’re free to attend any or all of our upcoming events, but please double-check your tickets, days and times before you rock up, because it could get a little awkward if you turn up to Jimmy’s fancy dinner wearing a Mariah Carey T-shirt, ready to whinge about small business while discussing ovaries over a glass of rosé, armed with a Speed Dating scorecard, wondering why there are so many naked, married, models in the bar.

It’s half time at Iona and I’m torn between approaching these dads to see if any are single and keen to Speed Date because, as usual, I’m desperate for men. Then I remembered they’re from Laurie’s. I ain’t that fckn’ desperate. 🦍
