It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we have to announce the death of the Missing Scene Fridge, no longer able to cool beers on the 26th of December, 2024.

The Missing Scene fridge was purchased for $50 off Facebook marketplace from a listing noted "keeps beer cold" and therefore was bought.

After being picked up from sutton and returning to its last working space for the last 5 years, it has cooled thousands of beers, mixers, spirits, and wines. Satisfying all patrons whom have come through The Missing Scene.

The fridge was unceremoniously taken to the tip this afternoon, creating a fridge sized space in the venue.

Not even sure if i have a pic of the fridge for this post...this is the best I can find in a 30 second search.

Been a while since i've posted here...

The missing scene has been turned into a car parts storage bin
..again...

so we have remained closed for the past month and a bit.

Expecting the next event we open for to be the Japanese Formula 1 Grand Prix :)

So...hello! it's been a while

We had to expand the accommodation side of the business into the bar for a period of time.

We will be back soon with a new layout, new lights, and more opportunities for memories to be lost!

📢 Restrictions easing from 11:59pm 11 November 2021

Current restrictions are easing from 11:59pm Thursday, 11 November. Here’s an overview of what’s changing:

😷 Face masks will no longer be required indoors, except in the following settings when they must be worn by any person aged 12 years or over:
• High risk facilities, including hospitals, aged care, correction and detention facilities
• On public transport
• In all indoor spaces at schools, early childhood education and care setting (including out of school hours care). Children in Years 7 to 12 are required to wear a face mask while in an indoor space at school. Children in Years 3 to 6 are also encouraged to wear a mask when indoors at school but this is at the discretion of the parent/ carer and student.
• By indoor front of house hospitality staff
• While inside the Canberra Airport terminal and during domestic flights in and out of Canberra.

😷 The community is also strongly encouraged to continue to wear face masks during the following circumstances:
• Anytime a person has symptoms of COVID-19
• When in a public indoor setting and or in areas where physical distancing from people not known to you may not be possible (for example, customers in retail, business, hospitality and education settings)
• When in public indoor gatherings (for example in places of worship, at funerals, weddings or at a theatre)
• When in indoor places for personal services (for example at the hairdresser and in a nail salon).

🏘️ There will be no limit on numbers of visitors to households.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 There will be no limit on the number of people at informal outdoor gatherings.

🍽️ No density limits apply to outdoor spaces within businesses.

🍸 Eating and drinking while standing will be permitted at licensed venues, cafes and restaurants and at food courts.

💃 Dancing will be permitted at nightclubs, along with eating and drinking while standing.

😅 Gym class sizes and dance classes will now be based on density limits.

🍿 Cinemas, theatres and outdoor venues with fixed seating, including GIO Stadium, Manuka Oval and Exhibition Park in Canberra, increase to 100 per cent capacity.
