Genesis Baroque, Melbourne/Naarm’s renowned period instrument chamber orchestra are coming back to Wesley of Warragul to perform two universally loved works for string sextets in a rare period instrument performance, enabling the deeply expressive colour palette of gut strings. The featured artists are Jennifer Kirsner & Meg Cohen (violins), Stephen King & Anna Webb (violas), and Josephine Vains & Natasha Kraemer (cellos).
Featuring Mozart’s Grande Sestetto Concertante; the 1808 string sextet arrangement of his famed Sinfonia Concertante, alongside the first string sextet by Brahms, Op.18, No.1.

Emily-Rose and Parvyn are widely celebrated in the jazz and folk scenes of Australia for their shapeshifting, spellbinding work. They are joined by the stunning gifts of Ofri, a young Sydney based pianist and songwriter with a striking, wild voice and compositions that match.
Weaving textures of voice, piano, strings and synths, they move between one another’s songs, traveling through landscapes inspired by nature, psychology, human yearning and experiences that are deeply familiar to us all. Joining them are Holly Downes (double bass/viola), Chris Stone (Violin) and Catie Alison (Cello).
