R.E. Ross Trophy Champions Crowned! 🏆

Huge congratulations to Paul Crocker and Charles Hall, the winners of this year’s R.E. Ross Trophy!

While the qualifying rounds enjoyed excellent conditions, the final brought the classic winter weather the Ross Trophy is famous for.

In a true test of grit, the handicap matchplay final went all the way to the wire, finally being decided on the 18th hole. Commiserations to Wilson Po***ck and Callum Stewart, who fought incredibly hard as this year's runners-up.

Congrats to our champions and well played to all! 🎉

A little wet weather couldn't stop our ladies from bringing the team spirit for Footy Colours Day!

Congratulations to Char Smith, who mastered the rainy conditions to take home the Captain's Trophy with a brilliant 39 points, winning by 3 shots! 👏

The Drougal Cup Returns! 🏆

Established in 2006, the Drougal Cup between Warragul and Drouin hasn't been played for a few years but on Tuesday, it made a triumphant comeback!

Historically, this challenge consisted of two matches a year (one hosted by each club), with the winning team decided by a unique format: combining each team’s 4 best Stableford scores plus their lowest score.

Warragul took the win with a spectacular 157 points to Drouin’s 137! 💥

Pictured from left to right are the 5 women who secured the victory with their contributing scores: Heather Steenholdt, Helen Burke, Annette Sutherland, Carol Stephen, and Eve Robbins.

A special thanks to Captains Chris and Leanne Pollard for getting this great event back on the calendar, and to Irene and Geoff Thomas for donating the current trophy (following the original donated by Rose Gallagher).
