DAYS OFF DON’T REALLY EXIST IN HOSPITALITY.

But we don’t mind, we love it.

When we do get a moment away from the restaurant, it usually still revolves around food, wine, produce and learning from good people doing great things.

A big thank you to our new friends at Debutant Wollongong and CopperTree Farms, and our long-time friends at SoHi Bowral for having us.

Great food, great people, and plenty of inspiration.

We’ve come back with some exciting new ideas. Think new cuts, bold flavours, and maybe even a few taps pouring soon.

It’s all still a work in progress, but we’re building something special.

NAUGHTY LITTLE BIRD🐤🍻

At Hide we’ve recently got our hands on our new favourite drink. A genuine favourite we discovered drinking at and had to get on the menu for you guys to enjoy alongside your meals.

The story of the bird? They flew from Batlow to Corowa Distillery, taking a break from pinching apples to steal some whiskey instead!

The result? A bold, playful fusion of crisp Batlow Apple and smooth Corowa Whisky. We highly recommend you give this one a try. If you’re on the fence be assured, we have a heap of non-cider drinkers, strict red wine only drinkers and whiskey haters, and none of them can resist the naughty bird!

Let’s hope he doesn’t go pinching anything from HIDE, we’re not so sure how a steak cider would go down🍺

We had an amazing weekend at the Sydney Royal Easter Show!

Spent time meeting some incredible farmers ,including Jackie and her very cute Highland cow, Aurora, all the way from Jindabyne.

Took in all the action across the showgrounds… pigs, sheep, cattle, the lot. Wandered through the distillery pavilion sampling a few new cocktails (for research, of course), then settled in at Tyrrell’s Wine Bar for charcuterie, cheese and a great bottle of wine. Finished things off with oysters at the prawn & oyster bar.

Simple pleasures done right. Great people, great produce, great weekend.

It’s a short week this week @ HIDE, so you better make the most of it!
