WIWO opportunity to turn your hospitality dreams into reality for a fraction of the cost of fitting out from scratch. This venue has a wonderful charm and beautiful features throughout, including exposed brickwork and pressed metal.

Priced for a quick sale and includes semi-permanent outdoor marquees, all furniture and fittings, including a fully-equipped kitchen and bar. This venue is in a prime location on Franklin Street in CBD Traralgon, at the heart of Gippsland's restaurant district.

To our wonderful Benjamin guests,

It is with a heavy heart, that we announce the closure of our venue, The Benjamin on Franklin. Circumstances beyond our control have led to this difficult decision but we are so grateful to have had the opportunity to pursue our dreams and create a beautiful space for our local community.

We have thoroughly enjoyed serving you and appreciate your patronage over the years. Thank you for trusting us with your special occasions - birthdays, engagements, and even some weddings (one with a couple who had their first date at The Benjamin).

We want to thank our amazing team 🫶 (present & past) for their hard work and dedication to providing our guests with excellent service (and delicious cocktails).

While The Benjamin on Franklin is closing its doors, The Benjamin still exists at the Gippsland Performing Arts Centre and The Little Theatre (serving your pre-show drinks). Our team will also continue serving you via our sister venue, Polly Baker (the cafe located in the foyer of GPAC, open 7-days a week, 8am-4pm + showtimes).

Our dreams for The Benjamin continue and we hope to serve you all delicious cocktails again in the not-too-distant future – so watch this space! Until then, we want to express our gratitude for your support and loyalty. It has been a pleasure serving you.

Polly Baker is a Café located within the light & bright foyer of Gippsland Performing Arts Centre / / GPAC and is brought to you by us, The Benjamin on Franklin. Open 7 days a week, from 8am to 4pm as well as during showtimes, we have seating available inside and outside.

So who is Polly Baker? Polly Baker is one of several pseudonyms of Benjamin Franklin. Although he didn't admit it for several decades, he wrote The Speech of Miss Polly Baker in 1747 to highlight the patriarchal structure and gender inequality issues within the judicial system of the time. Printed and circulated around the world, it appealed the injustice of women being brought before courts (and of being publicly whipped and fined) for the crime of bearing children out of wedlock. Polly Baker's legend became a heroine.

PS. while we're reducing our trading days throughout January, we are always happy to open for functions or large bookings.
