Tonight's playlist has been put together by Ryan Sturgeon - Ryan has been an integral part of the live music scene over the last five or so years here in Townsville - featuring in local bands and being a local promoter (Purge Promotions) for some of the heavier shows that have graced our local venue stages, including In Hearts Wake, A Night In Texas, Deez Nuts, Pave Paradise and Tomb Of Doom.

Ryan and his team have always included + supported local heavy acts along the way and we look forward to seeing what the future brings (and what awesome heavy shows are coming our way - with after parties at The Gaslight Heavy Room of course)

Reminder: The Gaslight Heavy Room is an inclusive space - heaviness is not judged by the colour of your shirt - if you can't keep it nice + fun, don't come.

Pleased to announce our opening night's playlist will be curated by legendary local shredder and overall top bloke WAYNE FKN CHANDLER (aka Wayne Chandler).

I've known Wayne since "The Venue" days - booking and putting on shows with Amagon and, of course, Wayne's solo guitar/shred sets - these shows, I believe, helped pave the way to our massive Fear Factory show (supported by Amagon, Ire and Fifth Day of Ice)

It has always been a pleasure working alongside these local characters - and I am pleased to hand over the "musical reigns" to the kings + queens of the scene for The Gaslight Heavy Room on a weekly basis.
