Looks like we have some winners!

Congratulations to Boatrocker Brewers & Distillers + Brouwerij de Molen for taking the coveted spot of Best Festival Beer with their 'Mole-ish Imperial Stout-ish.'

The votes were tight here, with Mr Banks and Interboro's 'Making Me Thirsty' coming in a close second. Turns out you all love stouts!

Best Can Art goes to Bubbles - and we have to say if there was a 'Most Creative Beer Photography' category, one of you would have likely won for your many great bubbles-inspired photos of this beer. Well done, Otherside Brewing Co. + Garage Project!

Last but certainly not least we have Emily - and De Molen once more! - taking home bragging rights for Favourite Guest.

Thanks to everyone who tuned in and an extra thanks to all who voted. Our Canvent winner has been chosen at random and contacted via email this morning. 'Til next time!

If I could have collaborated on any beer (currently on the market or not) it would have been Action Bronson's 7000. I am sure they had a a lot of fun figuring out what to make for that beer.

I see the future of beer festivals as even more inviting to drinkers of all styles and preferences with greater chances to meet the brewing staff, guided tastings, and pairing events."

difficult over the next 6-9 months, but hopefully returning to normal."

'New Coast' IIPA | 9.0% ABV
Felons + Firestone Walker present:
Not an East or West Coast IIPA, but a New Coast entirely.
--

Let's get to know Tom Champion, head brewer of Felons, starting with his take on the beer's tasting notes:

"We wanted to create a real headturner with our mates at Firestone Walker. Discover a piney, resinous backbone - true to style of a West Coast IPA, and feel it collide with the juicy, nectar-like characters of an East Coast Hazy IPA.
This beer showcases the modern USA-grown hop, Idaho Gem. Indulge in flavours of mango nectar, papaya and wildberries, all layered across a warmth derived from a lashing of Queensland Sugar Cane Juice straight into the boil - which the London Ale yeast we used quite literally frothed on."

Damn, we're thirsty after that description! Back to Tom...

"My 'desert island' drink is...
You put the lime in the coconut..

I'd love to see a collaboration between _____ and _____ brewery.
Westvleteren and Firestone Walker

Who's your dream collab partner outside the beer world?
Melbourne Moonshine Company

If I could have collaborated on any beer (currently on the market or not) it would have been _____ because _____.
Augustiner Heller Bock -
a) that beer rips
b) I'd love the chance to learn from brewers with such a rich history
c) it's a super fun beer name to say out loud

I see the future of beer festivals as...
a blend of face-to-face drinking and education, with the upcoming online/virtual component from Covid becoming a permanent piece."
