Wednesday's game against Findex Bouncers unfortunately makes it the end of our season. It's been a fun season with new and current players improving each week. Well done to Findex. I'd like to thank Shaun Merchant for assisting us with Jordan when we were low with numbers, thanks mate. Can't wait to see the 2026/2027 season with this team and see how well we do well. Can't thank everyone involved enough for doing their part and doing their best to make it to all games players and parents.

Grand final for next week is Findex Bouncers vs The Tradies on wednesday starting at 6. Sure will be a great match.

Highlights for our season.

1st round of finals scoring past 200 for the first time with Isaac and Matt scoring rapidly. 3-208.

Isaac Kirk in the first round of finals making his maiden *50 as first drop to help us get over the line. Also fielding in each game was superb.

Matt White ranked 3rd in batting 367 runs for the season averaging 40.78. Ranked 1st in bowling taking 14 wickets average of 8.93. Ranked 5th in fielding 7 catches and 2 stumpings plus owed a carton from a bet.

Ben Corrales making his maiden *50. Also number 10 in bowling ranks in the competition at 9 wickets. Ranked 6th in fielding 6 catches.

Dylan M Wells making 50 on a tough pitch to bat on to win us our first win of the season. Think you owe a carton to Matt also for a bet🍻

Rhonda David Fowler Kurt Fowler with Dave ranked 11th batting with 206 runs scoring important runs for us towards the end of the season. Kurts dedication to his fielding and his batting against the goats to score those extra runs helped us win that must win game.

Every other player Lindsey N Brooke Lockwood Nate Lockwood, Luke Newman, Jesse Moody, Rod Clifford, Wade, Matt Mason. Thanks for the season guys. Always awesome playing alongside you guys.

What a game last night was against the Billygoats. We went out to bat first and with only nine players, we knew we had to put on a good total to defend. After a steady start, momentem begun to swing with Paddy Spillane 37 off 25. Isaac Kirk, what a perfermance coming in at 1st drop making his first 50. 52* off 32 balls. Matt White came out firing coming in at No. 4 with 52* from just 17 deliveries. Dave Fowler came in and got handy runs 34* from 28 deliveries putting us in a first time ever from the Tavern to surpass 200 with 3-208.

We knew our fielding had to cover more territory and bowling had to be on point with knowing the Billygoats had the potential to chase down our score. We got off to a brilliant start in our first over with Matt White taking an unreal run out and even though wicketless, Matt finished 3 overs only conceding 14 runs. Matt also took a briliant catch to remove Troy Brabant who looked promising on scoring a 50 off the bowling from Dave Fowler who finished with 1-18. Paddy Spillane taking 1-15 with Nate Lockwood taking 1-17.

Billygoats did well with Declan Spencer 50* from 34 deliveries but fell short on 4-169 securing the Taverns win by 39 runs. Proud of the teams effort.

Big game coming up this thursday against the Billygoats being first week of finals. Come down for wednesdays game Tradies vs Findex Bouncers and thursdays game Bonshaw Billygoats vs Tenterfield Tavern.

Wednesday's game we played against the Billygoats. What a game it was. After losing the toss we were sent out to bat with Matt White scoring an incredible 51* from just 20 deliveries with Isaac Kirk scoring 24 with Father and son Dave and Kurt Fowler scoring 13 and 10 to put us at 6-154.

Our bowling attack and fielding was great with Matt White putting the pressure on the Billygoats taking 1-2 with Lindsay Lockwood taking 2-16, Jesse Moody with 1-6 and Ben Corrales taking 1-11. Couple dropped catching chances and a couple missfields nearly got the Billygoats over the line but fell short on 6-152 securing the Tavern winning by 2 runs.

This game was important to us as it marks two years without Jackson Clarke who will always be within the Tavern teams spirit and the spirit of Tenterfield cricket. No. 5 forever, miss you mate. Huge thanks to the Billygoats and umpires for doing a minutes silence with us to honour Jackson for who he was, a true team player who gave everything his best.

Wednesday's game we played against the Tradies. After winning the toss we elected to bat first. Dave Fowler top scored scoring 23 with Matt White scoring a handy 18 to close off our innings.

Our bowling started off well with Matt White bowling both Tradie openers out both for golden ducks with Kirk Fowler bowling a peach of a delivery to remove Tyler Sargeant who was scoring well. Well done to Aiden Halford for getting 50* for the tradies to win the game by 7 wickets.
