Named after Scotty Black, Australian water polo player and Courthouse publican in the 1930s, it’s a little taste of Courthouse history.

We're turning 150!!

The Courty has stood in this spot since 1876 and 150 years on we're still standing, still pouring beers and still a place for locals to come and have a chat. Much has changed, and also, much hasn't.

We're throwing a three-week birthday party to celebrate and everyone is invited! Kicking off Wednesday 16 September right through until the October Long weekend, we've got plenty planned.

Festivities include:

- A $15.0 commemorative menu. Five dishes telling five stories from our 150 years.
- Two Chef's Table Friday lunches, $95 a head.
- Live music across the weekend of 25–27 September.
- Themed Trivia: 150 Years of Tamworth, Monday 21 September.
- A 150-minute Happy Hour. $6 house beer and wine, Monday to Friday.
- Family Fundays over the October long weekend.
- PLUS 150 free beers on NRL Grand Final night.

The Country Comedy Tour rolled into The Courthouse, and there were plenty of laughs, a few questionable decisions and a bloody good night had by all.

Big thanks to Brad Austin, Buster Kirby and Julia Wilson for bringing the laughs, and to everyone who pulled up, grabbed a feed, had a drink and got amongst it.

The punchlines may be over, but we're still talking about it. 👀

Tonight's Country Comedy Tour show at The Courthouse is officially sold out! 🎤😂

Unfortunately, Kirsty Carr is unwell and won't be able to join us tonight. But don't worry, we've got you covered. Brad Austin, Buster Kirby and Julia Wilson will be hitting the stage with extended sets, giving you even more time with three seriously funny comedians.
