They say you never forget your first time…🤍
7 years ago today I married my first couple and I’ve truly never looked back. In the years since, I’ve been lucky to marry hundreds of couples including best friends, new friends, old friends, cousins and even vow renewals for my parents and grandparents.
I’ve done wedding ceremonies on boats, beaches, gardens, vineyards, farms and even on top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. On the south coast, far north coast, central tablelands, Hunter and this year I’ll travel to Italy to officiate a special wedding.
This little wedding biz has not only survived two babies and a move up the coast, but a once in a lifetime pandemic where it was illegal to marry in this state for a good part of 2021.
This is a beloved side hustle, among many things, and I rarely have time to reflect or celebrate wins. But as I enter my eighth year, I want to soak up more of how much playing a role in wedding days means to me.
I still get the butterflies, the post ceremony highs and all the love shared in one place. Thank you to the many vendors I get to work with and call friends, to my family who support all the weekends and nights I’m MIA and mostly to the couples who trust me to guide their ceremony. The honor is never lost on me 🫶🏼
P.s. thank you for capturing said pre-ceremony butterflies at my beautiful cousin Matt and his Sam’s wedding in October.
