After more than three decades, Australia’s highest hotel in Perisher Valley changes hands
MQ & Associates is pleased to announce the successful sale of the iconic Sundeck Hotel in Perisher Valley, on behalf of long-time owner Cliff Wallis. The transaction was negotiated by Leonard Bongiovanni and Ray Larkin of MQ & Associates, in conjunction with Michelle Stynes and Alex Cherry of Forbes Stynes Prestige Property Sales, with the property acquired by Peter Dean.
Positioned directly on the slopes of Perisher within Kosciuszko National Park, the Sundeck is widely regarded as Australia’s highest hotel, offering a rare ski-in / ski-out alpine hospitality experience. First offered to the market since 1991, the property attracted strong interest from buyers recognising both its iconic status and the scarcity of genuine slopeside accommodation assets in Australia.
• Australia’s highest hotel positioned at approximately 1,769m above sea level
• True ski-in / ski-out location within Perisher, the Southern Hemisphere’s largest ski resort
• First time offered to market since 1991
• 41 accommodation rooms with capacity for up to 90 guests
• Iconic alpine venue with strong apres-ski trade and long-standing industry reputation
• Strong buyer demand highlighting continued appetite for unique hospitality assets
