Foundry616 presents the leading jazz musicians from Sydney and interstate including veterans of the contemporary jazz scene as well as exciting established and emerging artists in well-known and new contexts. The club programming will include a significant international component as well as the creation of new music projects and groups. Foundry616 is an exciting new venue for Sydney and Australia,

offering the best in contemporary jazz and jazz-oriented music across other genres from the best stars of today and tomorrow. We support Jazzgroove Association who present a weekly night of a double header (Tuesdays) and are proud to be a key venue for the Sydney International Women's Jazz Festival.

We have had an incredible last few weeks, and the celebration continues this weekend!

Mike Nock has officially SOLD OUT for tonight. From our venue’s opening night, to countless unforgettable gigs over the past decade, Mike has been at the heart of our story, and we cannot wait to celebrate the close of this chapter with him and his incredible quartet.

It's with great sadness and regret that we announce the closure of Foundry616 from the end of June 2025.

Despite considerable effort, Foundry616 has struggled to cope effectively in the very challenging post-Covid trading environment.

We would like to extend our gratitude to all the artists who have performed at Foundry616 since we opened in 2013 and who made it such an important club that was central to the Sydney jazz scene.

Since opening, Foundry616 has presented almost all of Sydney's leading jazz musicians and many promising ones whose careers were about to blossom. We were also unique in bringing to Sydney many musicians from interstate and overseas.

From 2013-2019, Foundry616 was the principal venue for the Sydney International Women's Jazz Festival.

We would also like to thank our staff (past and present) for their work and dedication, and extend such thanks to you, our patrons, who loved and supported Foundry616 for so many years.

Please join us for our final shows this month as we celebrate the incredible journey we’ve shared one last time.
