A Legacy That Will Never Be Forgotten
Today, we had the privilege of celebrating two truly remarkable people who have dedicated nearly two decades of their lives to the Blacktown Workers Junior Rugby League Club – Keith and Carol Cochran.
Since 2006, Keith and Carol have been at the heart of our club, giving their time, energy, passion and unwavering support to generations of players, families, coaches and volunteers. Through early mornings, late nights, wet weather, grand finals and everything in between, they have always been there – not for recognition, but simply because they care.
Keith's vision helped shape the future of rugby league in Blacktown, creating pathways for countless players and helping establish the club as one of the strongest and most respected rugby league communities in New South Wales. Carol's dedication behind the scenes ensured that every player, family and supporter felt welcomed and cared for. Together, they have helped create something far greater than a football club – they have helped build a family.
The impact of Keith and Carol cannot be measured in trophies or statistics. It lives on in the thousands of young people whose lives have been enriched through this club, in the friendships formed, the memories created, and the community that continues to thrive because of their commitment.
To honour their incredible contribution, we are proud to announce that the grandstand at H.E. Laybutt Reserve will now forever be known as The Cochran Stand. A fitting tribute to two people whose names will always be synonymous with dedication, loyalty and service to our community.
Keith and Carol, on behalf of everyone at Blacktown Workers Junior Rugby League Club and the wider community, thank you. Your legacy will live on for generations to come.
Please join us in congratulating and thanking Keith and Carol Cochran for their outstanding contribution to our club and community.
