The Certified Sommelier is a wine and beverage consultancy company created by Ben Moechtar in 2015. Ben is a highly accredited and one of the most experienced wine professionals – or Sommelier – in Australia. In 2007 Ben was voted the first President of Sommeliers Australia - the national peer not for profit organisation which represents the highest levels of wine service, knowledge and training i

n Australia. He duxed the state, winning its first scholarship program launched in Australia. With more than 20 years of experience in the wine and hospitality industry, Ben has facilitated Australian wine export, been a published wine writer, wine judge, assessor of wine quality and hospitality staff trainer. The Certified Sommelier offers innovative ways to:

• train staff in all facets of wine and beverage service
• improve general wine understanding - from the very basics to the high levels of international accreditation
• facilitate import or export of wine to global markets
• understand the chemistry of food and wine matching
• develop skills in wine writing or judging
