W ramach kampanii przedstawiamy Stephanie Kwolek (1923–2014) – polsko-amerykańską 🇵🇱🇺🇸 chemiczkę i wynalazczynię Kevlaru.

Opracowane przez nią w 1965 roku włókno jest niezwykle lekkie, a jednocześnie kilka razy mocniejsze od stali. Kevlar do dziś wykorzystywany jest m.in. w kamizelkach kuloodpornych, sprzęcie ratowniczym oraz technologii lotniczej.

Odkrycie Stefanii Kwolek pomogło uratować życie tysięcy ludzi na całym świecie.👏

As part of the campaign, we highlight Stephanie Kwolek (1923–2014) — a Polish-American🇵🇱🇺🇸 chemist and the inventor of Kevlar.

Developed in 1965, Kevlar is an extremely lightweight fiber that is several times stronger than steel. Today it is used in ballistic vests, protective equipment, and aerospace technology.

Stephanie Kwolek's discovery has helped save thousands of lives worldwide.👏

🗓🎭🎥 | It has been a century since the titan of Polish cinema was born, and less than a decade since his passing in late 2016.

To celebrate the momentous date, a resolution declaring the Year of Andrzej Wajda has been put to the Poland’s upper house of parliament, the Senate, that said his contribution to Polish culture "cannot be overestimated," praising his combination of artistic courage and social commitment.
