We'll never forget when Diplo 🔥🔥🔥 Hudball up when he came to do a special gig for his fans. The nicest and most humble guy, he basically made everyone's night by getting up close and personal with fans throughout the gig. Best. Night. Ever 😉

The best thing about running a live music venue is easily the sound checks. It's when the artists are relaxed and they just let go. It's raw and it's breathtaking. When Vera Blue held her first ever Sydney show 2 years ago at Hudball, we didn't know what to expect. We went on about our business setting up the bar when she suddenly broke into the chorus of 'Settle'. It was at that very moment we dropped everything we were doing and realised that we had a superstar in our club. We were able to capture the second take and wanted to share with you the magic.

Huge shout out to DJ Levins who ran the best 90s party in Sydney. We did two sold out NYE parties together but the time 90s icon Joanne made a guest appearance was hands down the best. Watch as she got everyone dancing!!!

It's a bit emotional here for our final week so we wanted to share with you some fond memories as we look back over our time here. We get a lot of amazing artists and bands that play here and for us, we think Middle Kids was one of the best bands to grace our stage. Sorry our amateur video doesn't capture the magical night from these legends. Their debut album 'Lost Friends' actually comes out May 4th and we can't wait because we'll now have time to see them at the Sydney Opera House for Vivid Sydney

EMOTIONAL THANK YOU

Two and half years ago we took over this iconic live music venue but due to several restrictions, we couldn’t renovate and upgrade this space. This made it really difficult but our priority was to ensure this essential live music space lived on and we’ve been proud to be able to host an amazing list of artists that have performed here as well as some of the most lit club nights in Sydney.

Now we've been given the green light so we're going to close down while we work to bring you Hudson Ballroom as it was meant to be. It's been a long and hard road and we know things weren't perfect here but we did the best with what we got and always tried to create the best nights possible. When everything else in Sydney has been closing, we’ve been able to keep our doors open only thanks to you, the supporters of Hudball.

Thank you to everyone that came down, that gave us words of encouragement, that helped us along the way, and gave us so much love. It means more to us than you'll ever know.

Stay tuned as we cant wait to let you know when we reopen!
