The Spanish fly opened it's doors at the Spot, in Randwick, in the spring of 2008 with the intention of providing the locals and visitors to the area a home away from home. Priding ourselves on delivering the best in Mediterranean tapas, wines and of course cocktails. On Sunday The Spot partied with the first Spot Festival being held since 2019 .
The event was a huge success for the whole community and The Spanish Fly with all day traffic and locals lingering late into the night the way we did before lockdowns.
Diners enjoyed our full menu as well as street food from the kitchen and cocktail specials from the bar.
This only happened because our whole team worked really hard to pull this together in 2 weeks and because they are awesome .
My thanks goes out to my crew who make all this possible.
AM for once again designing and handcrafting our menu and eye catching front of house festival decor .

After last lockdown we opened with a bang and with the way bookings are rolling in it's going to be the same this time around!
We are looking for a very confident cocktail bartender/manager to take the helm and ensure this is a great experience for our guests who are eager to be back sipping cocktails with us .
We opened "the fly" back in 2008. We serve a modern twist on Mediterranean tapas and we were the first to bring a cocktail culture to the area.
Since that time we have maintained a solid reputation for both our food and drinks with cocktails always being a strong focus of the business.
Our ideal candidate has had at least 2 years experience in a high end cocktail environment, is familiar with all the classics and can bring their own creativity to custom drinks on request and create new menus.
Personality is essential as you will be working mid room and interacting with our customers.
Wine and spirit knowledge as well needs stock control and an honest responsible attitude are required.
This is a fast paced environment but an energised and rewarding one as well.
If you have the necessary skills , want to join a great team and believe you can make us grow we would love to hear from you.

We are looking for experienced and well-trained wait staff to join a fun and energetic team and help us deliver a fantastic customer experience.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience working in hospitality and have a passion for attending to customers at the highest level.
In addition to already having the basic service skills, we are looking for someone with a friendly, upbeat personality who can ensure that our customers are not only well looked after but have a great time as well.

This year we celebrated a full weekend as well as Monday the 14th for Valentines.
It's been a fantastically successful time with great feed back from our diners.
Much credit is due to our head chef Sunil and his crew with every table leaving delighted with their exceptional dishes , Leo for his front of house team management and not to forget our cocktail bar crew as well as AM for designing and hand crafting beautiful handmade chocolate gift boxes and menus .
We were also really proud to support the ethical treatment of farm animals by using Maremma duck for one of our specials.
Many ducks labelled free range never touch the water or swim.......
At the Spanish Fly we find this unacceptable and so will only ever serve you true free range duck!!
