In September 2012 a press conference was held on the stairs of Hugos Lounge. That day 500 hospitality staff tried in vain to stop the Barry O Farrell government implementing "policy on the run" know today as the Lockout Laws. We said back then it would destroy the night time economy, we said the solution was more visible policing, additional CCTV cameras ,zero tolerance for violence, stronger prison penalties for the minority committing assaults and 24 hour transport on weekends to solve the issue of alcohol related violence on the streets. Today we ask all our friends to join a rally this Sunday, 21 Feb, 12pm at Belmore Park (behind central station) to reiterate to Mike Baird and his Government that these laws have destroyed so many Hospitality businesses ,jobs and Sydney's night time economy as we predicted 3.5 years ago. Hopefully this may change the politicians minds on the subject if we all march united....it's taken a few years but People Power is now in full swing.....please share this post with friends
