Our Christmas picks bring a little Mjølner into their everyday life—and The Viking Feast book is back in stock to lead the charge. Give them our food, drinks and stories to explore at home, with an optional leather cover to make it extra special.

For the rest of your clan, explore chef’s axes, drinking horns, etched wh**ky glasses, the Odin Ring and knives for their next feast. There’s something for the cook, the host, the wh**ky lover and the one who wears their Viking pride.

Have yourself a Viking Christmas. 🎄⚔️

Our Viking feasting hall is getting a Yuletide makeover. With festive decorations, candlelit tables and a menu that comes around just once a year, Christmas at Mjølner Sydney is an experience worth gathering your clan for.

Available throughout November and December, our Yuletide feast brings Norwegian Christmas favourites to the table, including Jule Ribbe and the much-loved Pinnekjøtt. Expect bone marrow, salmon gravlax and venison tartare, alongside beef short rib, generous sides and a festive Riskrem finale.

And because it wouldn’t be Christmas without a present… 🎁

Every night, one lucky guest dining on our Yuletide menu will be drawn to receive a Christmas gift. We’re keeping what’s inside under wraps. Where’s the fun in opening your presents early?

Which god’s feast would you choose? ⚔️

Freya, Thor or Odin—our three set menus bring the Mjølner feast to gatherings of eight or more. Expect generous dishes served for sharing, a table worth settling into, and the ceremony of choosing your own blade before digging in.

And when Christmas arrives, a seasonal feast takes its place at the table. Our Yuletide menu replaces Odin for the festive season, featuring Norway’s much-loved Pinnekjøtt alongside dishes created especially for Christmas.

Ever drunk wh**ky through a flame-kissed bone? 🥃🔥🦴

At Mjølner, the roasted bone marrow is only the beginning.

Once you’ve scooped out the marrow, our team takes a torch to the bone, warming the rich fat left inside. Then comes the wh**ky—poured down the bone, straight into your mouth.

As it flows, the wh**ky mingles with the warm, melted marrow fat, adding a rich, savoury depth to every mouthful. Fire, wh**ky and roasted bone marrow, brought together in one glorious ritual.

This is the Mjølner bone luge. And yes, it tastes every bit as epic as it looks.

A little throwback to welcoming Travis Fimmel—Ragnar Lothbrok from Vikings—for drinking horns filled with his own TRAVLA b**r and, of course, a wh**ky bone luge.

Fair to say there were some very excited people in the room. our team and guests were absolutely thrilled to have him with us—and getting to raise a horn together was such a treat.

Some dishes earn their place on the menu. This one made itself permanent. ⚔️

When Mjølner first opened, Terry Durack’s praise for our short rib helped turn it into a dish people came specifically to experience. Some guests wanted it so much that, if it wasn’t available, they wouldn’t stay for dinner.

We got the message.

It’s been on our menu ever since—and remains our number one selling main.

Over the years, the accompaniments have changed and our chefs have put their own stamp on the plate. But at its heart, it’s always been that generous short rib on the bone: rich, deeply savoury and tender enough to make the first mouthful worth pausing for.
