We’ve heard it all before. But here’s the thing. Chances are, your hair is growing. You’re just not seeing it because it’s breaking off before it gets the chance.
Hair grows roughly 1-1.5cm a month, but if your ends are dry and brittle, they’re snapping off at close to the same rate.
Split ends don’t stay put either. They travel up the shaft, and the higher they split, the thinner and weaker your ends become.
Brittle ends mean more tangles, more tangles mean more pulling, and more pulling means more breakage. Holding onto damaged ends to hang onto “length” is fake length. It just makes your ends look thin and tired, not long.
