On Monday evening, WSET celebrated the outstanding achievements of its latest cohort of Level 4 Diploma in Wines graduates at its annual graduation ceremony and prize reception in London.

Among this year's top students, Australian graduates claimed two of the most prestigious prizes: Sebastian Iannuzzi of Sydney Wine Academy took the Vintners' Cup – awarded to the highest overall performer – and Anthony Justice, also of Sydney Wine Academy, claimed the Penfolds Asia Pacific Scholarship – awarded to the top performing graduate in Asia-Pacific.

Michelle Brampton, WSET Chief Executive, said: “I’d also like to personally congratulate our scholarship and prize winners, whose exceptional results, together with the stories they've shared about the impact WSET has had on their lives and careers, continue to inspire us all.”

We dropped into Fergettina unannounced just expecting a basic tasting experience.
Anna from Fergettina was extremely accommodating and gave us an in depth tour and explanation of the property and philosophy of the wines.
Interesting fact is Fergettina uses square bottles. Through plenty of trials and tastings they believe a square bottle keeps more of the lees in contact with the wine and leads to better yeast autolysis integration.
Thank Anna and Fergettina for being very accomodative

Day three was the amazing Ca’ del Bosco experience. Part wine, part art all in an immersive experience. The wines, the art and the immersive experience is something you’ll never experience at any other winery. Big thank you to Paolo for the tour with his detailed knowledge of what makes Franciacorta the best sparkling in the world!!

Big than you from Luca Ardiri, Giovanni Allegrini and Silvia Allegrini.
Showing and myself a different approach to producing wine in Valpolicella. Instead of just using pergolas in the vineyard they also use guyot.
Also got to visit two amazing sites- La Poja and Grola. These wines were spectacular.
And yes finished with the flagship Amarone!
Great morning
