A heartfelt goodbye from Elias & Bee.
An announcement we were never prepared to make, but the time has come. The Birdhouse will be under new management from next week, our last service will be this Sunday 22nd March.
Over the course of the last 5 years, from the lowest of lows, to the highest of highs, we have had the privilege of building this space with you.
Building it with love. With laughter. With tears. With sacrifice.
A space which has not only evolved itself; it has seen the evolution of us. Of our staff, and of our guests.
A home for the creatives. The inspired. The dedicated. A place where we pushed culinary boundaries of what can be served at a little neighbourhood restaurant. Where food and service took the upmost priority.
A community was built, not by doing the ordinary. No, not even close. Our community was built by people who shared our vision. People who loved, people who cared. People who would not accept the ordinary.
These were our people.
We are beyond grateful for every member of staff who has been by our side during the incredible journey. Without them, there is no us. Our gratitude will forever be theres.
For every guest, many turned friends over the years, thank you. Thank you for keeping our dream alive. For sharing the love of good food and even better company.
You’ve watched our family grow, as we’ve watched yours. We celebrated victories together, and supported each other through the harder moments in our lives.
This weekend is a celebration of all that was The Birdhouse. Come in, enjoy a meal, have a drink for one last time with us.
We’re excited to see the evolution of The Birdhouse with the new owners. All future reservations will remain, a lot of familiar faces will remain too. We wish them all the success in future.
We can’t wait to celebrate one last time with everyone. We recommend reservations to guarantee your spot, but we will always have space to say goodbye.
