My aim is to visit 60 pubs/bars in the Newcastle area & consume a beer & burger before my 60th.

Well I’m throwing in another BONUS pub & it’s worth a visit. The Sutton Forest Inn is a ripper & having lunch out the back was a ripper. Beer 10/10. Staff - delightful. Burger - I had the Angus & it was superb 👍 - 8/10. Max had a pork chop & veggie’s and reported it was a cracker. Totally recommend the place 😊🍻🍔

Let me start by saying happy new year to everyone 😊👍. Now, I finished 2023 with pub number 15 & one of my faves, Young street Hotel. Pearler pub & highly recommend the place. Staff - great. Beer - 10/10. Burger - I had the works burger & let me start with after having 2 or 3 bites I noticed the egg & beetroot dripping over my chips & I was in heaven 🤤. Top notch burger - 8.5/10. Price - ok. It’s definitely in my top 5 pubs in Newie so do yourself a favour. And before I forget, Maxine had (wait for it) the rump & it was top notch as well 🍻🍔🥩

Superb little lunch at the Bennett Hotel. Very nice pub & the staff were great. Beer 10/10. Burger - I had the fried chicken with bacon burger & it was a little pearler with plenty of flavour, one of the best I’ve had 8.5/10. The amazing Maxine even had a burger & she said her beef & beetroot burger was a 9/10. Totally recommend going to the Bennett for a feed. 🍻🍔

Celebrating the daughters birthdays with number 13 at the Boolaroo sports. Did even know the place existed 😂. Staff - lovely . Beer - 10/10. Burger - I had the boolaroo beef burger & it was a little ripper! Very delicious in deed 7.5/10. I also had dumplings before it but demolished everything 😉🤤. Totally recommend trying the place out for a feed. Max went the bacon & walnut pasta & it was great 🍔🍻🍝

Pub number 12 was a old fave the Albion before going to see the planes at the beach. Beer 10/10. Price - ok. Staff - very very good! Burger - all I can say is bloody excellent & close to the best I’ve had so far….& it had beetroot - 8.5/10. Highly recommend going for a feed here & Maxine said the rump was one of the best she’s had! 🍻🍔🥩

This happened two days ago but due to Optus & beers I’m only posting now. Pub number 11 & the Wicko is a fave. Beer - 10/10. Staff - nice. The burger was quite tasty & worth a go but the chips were a small - 7/10. Price - ok. Never had bad meal here & I recommend it. Didn’t back the cup winner but enjoyed the day. 🍻🍔🐎

Finally back smashing burgers & today I’m at the Imperial for No 10. Beer - 10/10. Staff - very nice. Burger - I had the cheeseburger & I must say not bad at all - 7.5/10. Price- very reasonable. I’ve always had good meals at this place so give it a go 👍🍻🍔………..oh & my beautiful wife had a very nice steak 👍

We are up to number 9 & we jumped into my old favourite the Sunnyside. Staff - very good. Prices - not bad. Beer - 10/10. Burger - well it was bloody good. Very tasty & filling, one of the best I’ve had so far! 8.5/10. My beautiful wife had a gourmet steak burger & gave it the thumbs up 👍

Here we go with burger & beer number 8 at the Royal Federal. Can’t recall ever having a bad meal here & that didn’t start today. Staff - very good. Beer - 10/10. Burger - today I had the southern chicken burger & it was a nice gem - 8/10. Price - Reasonable. Highly recommend this eatery………oh & my gorgeous wife had rump if you couldn’t guess & it was delicious 🍔🥩🍻

Well, what a rip snorta day! We went out to the Commercial Hotel Morpeth to try out burger number 7. Staff - fantastic. Beer - 10/10. Burger- a bloody little ripper which was so tasty - 8/10. It’s a great little pub that ticks lots of boxes & my beautiful wife gave the steak a thumbs up 👍🍻🍔🥩🥂

Beautiful day to tackle No 6 at the Windsor Castle. The staff - delightful. The beer - 10/10. The burger I had was called the Castle Burger & I felt like a king whilst I ate it! Very tasty indeed! 8/10.Price- very reasonable. It’s a great pub that I recommend & my beautiful photographer totally enjoyed the rump steak

Number 5 at a favourite place….the Queens Wharf. Staff - very very good. Beer 10/10 (of course). Burger - the Cajun beef was a absolute ripper!!! It had a mixture of great food which made a fantastic feed…..8.5/10 number 1 so far! Price - up a bit but totally worth it. It was all topped off by my number one saying the rump she had was delicious 🤤
