Last night, Liam and Hunter who popped into Green Zebra looking like they’d just been through a fishing expedition they weren’t quite dressed for - absolutely soaked from the rain and shivering from the cold.

They hesitantly asked if they could come inside for a little while to warm up. Of course they could!

We got them some hot chocolates and a brownie, and what started as a random little encounter turned into one of those unexpectedly lovely moments that stays with you.

These two were so polite, well-spoken and genuinely appreciative. The kind of manners that make you stop and think, someone’s doing a pretty wonderful job raising these boys.

We don’t know their parents, but if Liam and Hunter are anything to go by, they’re doing something right.

Next time, hopefully you’ll visit us when you’re a little less soggy. We’ll save the hot chocolates for another rainy day, but the nuggets? Those are officially on the calendar.

Our house-made beetroot hummus has been getting a lot of love since the new menu launched. It’s creamy, earthy, slightly sweet and ridiculously versatile. You won’t just find it in one dish. We’ve worked it throughout the menu wherever it makes things better - because when an ingredient is this good, why keep it to itself?
