This trial was to assess the most efficient method to reduce and rework aged undervine mounds.
The blade, only with clod busters, lifts and opens the soil with minimal disturbance and weeds are undercut.
Blade with rotary cultivator mounted about, provides a more rapid result of demounding.

Clemens XL Multicleaner demonstration yesterday at Langhorne Creek.
The challenge was to see if it could get the better of the dominant couch grass and excessive thatch residue.
We were all very satisfied with the tesults achieved.

This model requires droppers positioned 500mm at least above ground.
Travelling speed was fair, considering what was being processed.
The results will provide perfect opportunity for follow up undervine cultivation now that the bulk of fry has been removed!

Yesterday we carried out a trial run of the Clemens Radius Plus driven discs in a number of rows in the Adelaide Hills.

The undervine mounds have never been worked on and the tractor operator was using the Clemens for the first time, hence the slow and steady pace.
Typical of aged undervine mounds, the irrigation runs to the edge of the mound, not penetrating the vine line.
Driven discs do deposit the soil away from the vine line and require pushing back.
Today the vineyard used the Clemens Roller Hacke, Finger Hoe to push back and tidy up.

Clemens flexibility, in early October, this Adelaide Hills vineyard undertook renovations on the 20+ years vine line - in preparation for replanting.
Clemens Radius Plus with blade share and rotary cultivators were alternated to breakdown the large mounding, Clemens soil pushers assisted in pulling out the mound into the mid row, where the excess soil filled wheel track ruts.
3 to 4 passes resulted in the planting zone now flattened and reasonably friable.
Planting gets underway next week!
