Running my first all grain whisky wash this morning.

Couldn’t decide between running as a pot still or running with bubble plates. Ended up with 4 plates and the dephleg with zero water/passive refluxing a little.

Nice sunny day to be “Chasing the Craft”!

It’s been a while between drinks, but I have finally made some time to squeeze in some brews and play with some toys that have been sitting on the shelf patiently waiting!

• Final spirit run on 52L of 40% neutral yesterday. 🍸
• Sampled the cuts and decided what to keep.
• 60L of Dr Smurto’s Golden Ale 🍺
• 80L of Whisky Mash bring left to mash over night (will deal with in the morning) 🥃

Hoping this one’s pretty bright when it hits the tap.

Has been in the all-rounder for 94 days, crashing for probably 70 of them.. (RIP glycol induced electricity bill!)

This is the knock off Rocky Ridge Ace Pale Ale, but fermented with 34/70 and no dry hop, some kind of non-dry hopped IPL I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️

90% Barrett Burston Pale
10% Sugar

~22IBU of Super Pride split between 60/10 min additions.

34/70 @ 12c.

Looking forward to a few cold pints as the weather warms up here in Perth!

Had planned to brew an Aussie Lager this morning, started the RO going last night and went to bed.

Woke up this morning without enough water.. left the bottom valve open on the kettle 🤦🏻‍♂️😂

Guess it’s just a drinking day today, and will be brew day tomorrow! 🍻🍻

Kegged a Galaxy Smash which is hitting the spot nicely, just needs a few days to finish carbing 👌🏻

It’s been a while between brews, must of forgot to empty the kettles and left the PBW soaking for the last 3 months 🤦🏻‍♂️

Running a cleaning cycle before brewday tomorrow.

Still haven’t decided on what I’m brewing, think it’ll be an Aussie Lager as I need some smash-able kegs!

Project “Still Beautification” in effect.

0.5”TC/34mm Triclamp water in outs for the condensers, had issues sourcing 8mm/90degree hose tails, so have cobbled some other parts together for the meantime. Could be smaller/slicker, but it’s pretty damn good.

After installing all the fittings, I will grab a few more to be able to orientate the flow valves properly.

~160+ L of 12.8% TPW to strip over the weekend, then I’ll hopefully do a big spirit run next weekend.
