When friends or family come to visit, there’s always that lovely question: “Where should we take them?”

You want somewhere that gives them a feel for Perth. Somewhere you can sit together, enjoy a meal and let the afternoon unfold without spending the whole time rushing between attractions.

Our place on Mends Street Jetty offers a pretty good starting point.

You notice the golden edges, the sauce gathered around the plate and the little finishing touches on top. Someone reaches for their phone. Someone else is already reaching for their cutlery. Both approaches are entirely understandable.

A walk along the foreshore has a way of getting you ready for lunch.

You’ve taken in the river, stopped for a photograph or two, and suddenly the conversation turns to food. Something hearty sounds good. Something you can sit down and enjoy while giving your feet a well-earned rest.
