16 Years of Black Duck Beers! And wow what a ride.
As some of you already know, and others may have heard the whispers - after 16 years of Black Duck it is time for us to hand over the reins to another lovely couple.
16 years in the industry is HUGE, for those who know hospitality, they know that a small business staying in the same hands for that amount of time is a mammoth achievement. We could not be more proud of what we have built.
What started as an idea in Al and Kate’s home shed, fueled by an inspiring trip to the UK, the Black Duck Brewery started out life as a small humble brewhouse and transformed into a comforting and familiar venue for our small Black Duck community.
Over the years there has been many changes, growth, new faces, upsizing, downsizing, lots of wins, some life changing losses, fires, pandemics, floods.. The Brewery and it’s community has been through it all and together we toughed it out!
We want to thank our staff over the years who have made this all possible, as well as those loyal patrons and friends who have supported us through to this very moment, we could not have come so far without you.
We want to assure you that you are now in great hands as Tim and Mel take over! There will be some changes, but rest assured the product and quality will remain equally as delicious!
Exciting things are happening behind the scenes as we speak, and we can’t wait to show you what the guys have been up to!
Thank you for your patience during this time, there will be more updates to come in regards to reopening. We look forward to having a beverage with you all on the other side of the bar soon!
