One of our members Stan Curtis being recognised for his contribution to his very first Bowling Club. Well done Stan!

💚 A Very Special Recognition – Stan Curtis 💚

A heartfelt congratulations and thank you to Stan Curtis, one of the original founders of the Boulder Bowling Club Race Round Carnival 50 years ago.

Stan’s dedication to this wonderful event is truly remarkable. Over the past 50 years, he has missed just one carnival — an incredible achievement and a testament to his commitment, loyalty and love for the Boulder Bowling Club and the sport of bowls.

Reaching our 50th Annual Race Round Carnival is a very special milestone, and it is only fitting that we recognise Stan and the important part he has played in the carnival’s history and success.

🏇 JOHNNY WILSON DAY – A GREAT DAY AT TATT’S! 🏆
What a fantastic day celebrating Johnny Wilson Day, honouring one of our past members and a champion Western Australian jockey whose name remains an important part of our Club’s history.

A terrific field of 27 players took to the greens in traditional flanno shirts for an extended Scroungers format, with plenty of friendly rivalry, laughs and great bowls throughout the day.

And this year we had a first-time Johnny Wilson Day winner — congratulations to Rowdy Ron Nelson! 🏆👏 A brilliant effort and a well-deserved addition to the honour roll.

A huge thank you to Peter French for organising and running the day, and to all of the volunteers who helped with the many jobs behind the scenes. Days like this simply don’t happen without people giving their time to make them a success.
Thanks also to everyone who played and helped continue the tradition of remembering Johnny Wilson in true Tatt’s style.

🍺 MEET THE MEMBERS | SAY G’DAY TO BRAD! 🍺

Meet Brad, one of our Club Bowlers and a familiar face around the Perth Bowling & Recreation Club! 👋

Brad joined the club in 2020, initially enjoying bowls socially before making the move into Pennant and Club Championship competition.

When he’s not on the green, Brad loves catching up with the guys over a few beers or enjoying a Friday arvo at the club with his lovely partner, Sue-Anne. 🍻

Brad is also a big help with our corporate functions and regularly lends a hand out on the greens, showing our guests how to get a bowl heading in the right direction! 😄

🍺 Member Type: Club Bowler
🍺 Favourite Club Drink: Great Northern
🌯 Favourite Club Meal: Chicken Wrap

Thanks for being such a great part of the club, Brad. Be sure to say g’day next time you see him around!
