My 1809 Gennaro Fabricatore build is coming along. Made from 99% recycled materials sourced from an old piano, antique furniture, and joinery, including salvaged whale bone from the sea behind the Albany whaling station. I had a fantastic weekend attending and presenting my work at the Perth International Guitar Festival held at UWA. Many thanks to Jonathan Fitzgerald for having me onboard showing my 19th century guitars. A big surprise was to have Adrian Walter attend from the ACT bringing a guitar I built for him in 2007. Many thanks also to Joe Bonini also for bringing his guitar, making it possible for me to show a variety of instruments I have built in homage to the great luthiers of 200 years ago.

Here are some images of a recently completed 1827 Lacôte guitar copy, who happened to be a prominent Parisian Luthier in the early to mid 19th century. The upper frets are ebony and silver inlay, French Polished, with Spruce from the French Alpine region that I purchased over 20 years ago while on an Australia Council for the arts, artist in residence, at Cite International des Art, Paris.
