🙌YANCHEP NATIONAL PARK OPEN🙌

After a gruelling week that saw Yanchep National Park and surrounding properties threatened by an out of control bushfire, the threat in this area has passed and the park has been re-opened to the public.

Thanks to the rapid response of our park staff and fire crews, important infrastructure and public areas within the park were saved. Unfortunately there is damage to walk trails, therefore all walk trails in the park remain closed until they are made safe.

Thank you to our wonderful Parks and Wildlife Service fire crews and support staff from all over the State, who came together to respond to the Yanchep fire as well as several others burning across the South West of the State.

Thank you also to the fire crews and support personnel from the Department of Fire and Emergency Services WA, volunteer bushfire brigades, local governments, Forest Products Commission, WA, Western Australia Police Force, Western Power, Water Corporation, Department of Communities, private contractors, Association Of Volunteer Bush Fire Brigades of WA (Inc), St John WA and WA State Emergency Service and more.
