The Ellington Jazz Club - Perth Perth’s premier jazz club for 17 years. Live music 10 shows, 7 days a week. World class Jazz, warm hospitality- and early sets so you can drop in after work.

The Ellington Jazz club features the finest touring acts and the cream of Australian Jazz talent in an intimate environment. Reservations can be made for table seating online and we ask that you arrive and are seated before the performance begins. If you have missed out on a table seat or have not booked, there are some bar stools available in the bar area. Check show pages for show start times an

d pricing. The Ellington opens 1 hour before the first scheduled show time for the night and closing times may vary. We are licensed until 1am weeknights, 3am Friday and Saturday and 12am Sunday.

The Ellington Jazz club is proud to support two annual prizes of $2000 each, awarded to exceptionally talented students, and students who may experience disadvantage achieving entry into WAAPA due to financial or social challenges. The Ellington have a particular interest in supporting talent development for women in the music industry, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) students entering the music industry through WAAPA.

Tara is an ARIA-nominated, WAM Award-winning, internationally acclaimed vocalist, weaving traditional Persian technique with jazz, Latin and contemporary music. Denied the right to perform publicly in her homeland of Iran as a female singer, this trailblazer draws on texts from classical Persian poets such as Rumi, alongside original songs of resilience and hope. From New York’s The Met and Perth Festival to The Ellington Jazz Club for one powerful performance.

✨Album Launch: Gina Williams & Guy Ghouse Live at The Ellington✨

We are honoured to welcome the return of Gina Williams-Ghouse (Balladong, Whadjuk, Goreng Noongar; with links to the Gitja people of the East Kimberley), an award-winning singer-songwriter whose music brings contemporary life to ancient Noongar language through powerful storytelling, artistry and song.

This special performance marks the official launch of a double-LP, vinyl-only release 'Gina Williams & Guy Ghouse Live at The Ellington'. Recorded in July 2024, the 17-track album captures a deeply significant musical moment - and a performance that can never be repeated following the passing of her husband and musical partner, Guy Ghouse, in November 2025.

Gina will be joined by Russell Holmes (piano/keys), Dr Nick Abbey (bass) and Dr Daniel Susnjar (drums), with special guests Daniel Drieberg, Lucky Oceans, Luci Poy and Rupert John.

PWIJF TOMORROW 🎹✨ HANNA KIM TRIO + LILA CLEMENT

OPENING NIGHT of the Perth Women’s International Jazz Festival features two distinctive pianists: emerging, genre-bending artist LILA CLEMENT in a solo opening set, followed by the acclaimed HANNA KIM TRIO in a feature performance.

Drawing on Korean and Australian influences, Hanna shapes a distinctive contemporary voice, while Lila brings a genre-blending approach spanning jazz and alternative rock.
