Not all zirconia is the same. Quite the contrary.

Even within the same generation, zirconia can vary significantly from brand to brand.

*Higher translucency, lower value — ideal when minimal shade shift is needed and natural aesthetics are the priority.

*Higher value, increased opacity — perfect for masking dark substrates and achieving predictable shade outcomes.

*High-strength gradient shaded zirconia (such as 4Y) — excellent for larger-span restorations or cases requiring thinner connector dimensions without compromising strength.

Every case presents unique challenges. Selecting the right zirconia for the indication helps maximise aesthetics, predictability, and long-term longevity.

The best results don’t come from using one zirconia —they come from understanding the strengths of each zirconia and selecting the most ideal properties for every unique case.

These two ❤️

I truly couldn’t have done this journey without them. For the past 10 and 15 years, they’ve been the heart and soul of my work life. We’ve grown up alongside each other—through life, family, challenges, and all the moments in between.

We’ve pushed each other, learned from our different perspectives, and become better not just at what we do, but in who we are.

At the end of the day, it’s not just the work—it’s the relationships that make us show up and give our best, every single day.

When you speak to John and Carlo let them know what an amazing job they are doing.

In today’s world of dental technology, it’s not about individual brilliance—it’s about the strength of a great team and everyday I wake I’m so grateful to be part of one.

HOTBOND TECHNIQUE……

looking for a more aesthetic result on your full arch and large span cases with enhanced strength?

hotbond technique utilises an ultra high strength zirconia frame or bar fused with a high fusing ceramic medium to bond to a translucent zirconia superstructure.

The result is an aesthetic appearance without the fear of a grey hue showing through conventional titanium frames, added strength and the ability to reline if required in the future. Also ideal for FP1 cases.

RELATIONSHIPS…..

As Creations finishes up its 15th year in operation I reflect on the people, within the lab and customers past and present. You made an impact on us in which we’ve learnt so much from each other. We’ve laughed, argued, shed tears and celebrated our own special moments.

I cannot verbalise the amount of gratitude to the ones who have contributed to make this workplace such a special place. Every morning I wake with a responsibility, a purpose to know that these beautiful human beings rely on me as a caretaker for now and the future.

Without their contribution and trust Creations would not be what it is and I want others to know I am only a piece of the puzzle that makes the lab what it is.
