We eked out a gruelling 19-point win in a battle for top spot over Brownโs Well at Paruna on Saturday.
The win kept our unbeaten run intact and ensured our goal of winning at least four away games this season is well within reach.
We dominated much of the play, but failed to put it on the scoreboard at times which was partly due to strong pressure from the Bombers.
However our first quarter was elite as we piled on five goals to nil as the ball was camped in our forward half.
Cuzzy opened our account, before Jimmy and Fridge also got on the scoreboard. A ripping goal from Niko on the run capped off a great term.
Silk and Crofty were everywhere early, while Klayto was doing a good job on the dangerous Dave Hankin after we lost Grug to a suspected broken nose.
The second quarter saw Brownโs Well start to get on top as our forward pressure dropped away.
They kicked a few goals by getting goal side of their opponents to reduce the margin to 10 points.
However, as we have all season we were able to steady and take control again, finishing the back half of the quarter full of running. We were just unable to capitalise, kicking four behinds.
Slapper and Zaccy led from the front in the second quarter, while Jadyn also started to get on top.
We took control in the third quarter kicking 2.3 to a solitary behind as Leroy and Cuzzy added to their tallies to lead by 28 at the last change.
Zacโs pressure was unbelievable in the third, while Jadyn was unstoppable up forward.
Cliffy went to Hankin and shut him out of the contest for the most part, while providing his trademark dash from defence.
An early Brownโs Well goal was met with back-to-back goals from Fridge and Leroy as we led by 32 with six minutes remaining to wrap up the game.
Lloydy won the Trademark Award by showing amazing leadership on the field, directing play with his voice which helped stem the tide in the second quarter and helped us get on top in the third.

Paringa went down to Brownswell, 62โ25, but there were plenty of positives to take from the game. The girls started strongly and were only 6 goals behind at quarter time, showing determination and intensity from the opening whistle.
Codie and Ara contested every ball entering the circle against a difficult-to-contain GS, applying strong body pressure and making Brownswell work hard for their shots.
Hannah found her range early, showcasing smooth movement in the goal circle before also stepping into Centre during the third quarter. Raz had another standout performance, shooting more than half of Paringaโs goals and demonstrating her ability to convert both short and long-range shots.
Eva worked tirelessly in WA through the midcourt, creating valuable opportunities with important feeds into the goal circle, while Bree and Jossalyn battled hard all day in the midcourt against a tough Brownswell side.
Courtney also stepped up again with another strong game in WD, collecting some fantastic intercepts and turnovers.

Our B Grade side travelled to Brownโs Well this week and, despite a strong effort, went down 50โ32.
The first quarter was an even contest, with both teams matching each other across the court and neither side able to gain a significant advantage. Brownโs Well began to build momentum in the second quarter, where we found ourselves four goals down. As the game progressed, fatigue started to set in, making it difficult to maintain the intensity and consistency we showed early in the match.
Aston filled in from A Grade and was outstanding in the shooting circle. Her accuracy was exceptional, missing only a handful of shots for the entire game and keeping us competitive throughout the match.
Ella worked tirelessly through the centre, using her movement to create options and deliver accurate feeds into the shooting circle. Her effort and determination helped drive our attack all day.
In defence, Chloe F had her hands over nearly every ball, collecting some fantastic intercepts and rebounds. She also showed great leadership, supporting and encouraging some of our newer players and helping them settle into the game.
While the result didnโt fall our way, there were plenty of positives to take from the match. The team continued to work hard until the final whistle, showing resilience, teamwork and a willingness to support one another throughout the game.
