OKTOBERFEST AT THE ONGERUP HOTEL!

This Saturday 24 October come down to the Ongerup Hotel for an Oktoberfest Night for a pork schnitzel, some German drinks and a few games! Dust off your lederhosen or dirndl for the Best Dressed Bavarian contest.

Bring your best “Prost!” and we’ll see you at the pub!

How was last night Ongerup? We had a fantastic turn out for the Yongernow Mallee Fowl Screening and our Pre Harvest bash! I would like to thank those who helped organise the night Boyd Rae, Beau Vaux, Jue Duggan and Caroline House ( mallee fowl screening)and our sponsors St John ambulance Ongerup, Nab Foundation Fat Farmers and Active Farmers and the band for the night The Numbats, and a massive shout out to our amazing staff for the night what a great job you guys did, Xanthe, Priscilla, Alyssa and Kerrin I couldn’t have done it with out you.

THE NUMBATS LIVE AT THE ONGERUP PUB!

Join us this Friday 16 October for our pre-harvest party! With The Numbats playing live from 7pm, pizzas on the menu and a dance floor to fill, it’s time for a night out before the headers roll. 🍕💃

❤️ FREE HEART HEALTH CHECKS will also be available, supported by NAB Foundation, Fat Farmers and Active Farmers Get yourself checked, then let The Numbats take care of the dance-floor cardio!

Make an evening of it and start at Yongergnow from 5–7pm for the official regional WA premiere of “Malleefowl: The Most Unlikely of Birds”, with a pop-up outdoor cinema and expert panel discussion. Then head over to the pub to keep the night going!

Meet Kiara Queen of kids, community and cold ones❤️
Kiara first moved to the area back in 2015, spent a couple of years away, and has been happily back since 2020 — so you could say this little community has well and truly become home. ❤️
Her main job is mum life, keeping up with her three boys, and we are lucky enough that she also manages the local CRC.
When she’s not doing either of those things, you’ll often find Kiara lending a hand here at the pub. She’d hate to see the local pub short-staffed, so she’s always happy to jump in, pour a few drinks and have a laugh along the way.
Kiara loves being part of the community and helping out wherever she can. Plus, it’s nice to have a job where nobody calls her “Mum” every five minutes! 😂
So, if you see Kiara behind the bar, come say hi — she’s always up for a chat, a laugh and, hopefully, a decent b**r pour! 🍺❤️
