This post is a little delayed as our account was hacked with a name change a couple of months ago and we were unable to change it back until now.
To the BrewiColo community, a couple of weeks ago we announced that BrewiColo will be ceasing operations.
As a family-owned business, with no investors, we have poured our hearts, souls, sweat and tears into BrewiColo and have enjoyed every second of it! We have loved producing award-winning beers, hosting events, meeting and getting to know so many people. But as anyone in this industry knows it takes dedication, hard work, time and effort to keep a brewery operating and we have reached a point where it’s no longer sustainable for us to continue to operate.
A lot has happened both professionally and personally since we opened the brewery doors over 5 years ago. We’ve celebrated multiple beer awards, had a hell of a good time, navigated the business through COVID and persisted with the relentless increases in government taxes, reforms and new schemes that cost us as a business more and more each time and now the ongoing cost of living crisis. Personally, we have grown from a family of 3 to 6 which is a major reason why we have made this decision.
We’ve met so many amazing people along the way and you have been the soul of this journey for us. From our regulars (that we cannot thank enough), our staff past and present, suppliers, wholesale customers to the online shoppers and holiday makers that visit us once a year. We have appreciated your support and words could not express what it has meant to us.
Upon reflection we have mixed emotions, whilst it was not an easy decision to make, we are excited to spend more quality time as a family and create those special memories while our kids still want to spend time with us. Our last day of trading to the public will be Friday 19th April, so please between now and then we’d love to see your smiling faces to have one last beer together.
