A little piece of France is coming to Meccanico. 🇫🇷🎶

On Saturday 20th June, we’ll be joining venues across the world in celebrating Fête de la Musique (World Music Day).

Originally born in France, the idea is simple. Fill spaces with live music, conversation and community.

In partnership with the Alliance Française de Wagga Wagga and Riverina Conservatorium, the atrium will come alive with free live music from 3pm to 6pm. As the afternoon rolls into the evening, Nick from Vino & Vinyl will take over, keeping the soundtrack going well into the night.

We’ll be settling into the atrium for an afternoon and evening of music, good company and a little taste of one of France’s favourite traditions.

The event is completely free, but we’d love to know you’re coming.

Somewhere along the way, lunch became one of our favourite services of the day.

Maybe it’s the colder weather. Maybe it’s the fact that a bowl of fresh pasta in the middle of the day feels slightly indulgent in the best way. Especially our Cacio e Pape Gnocchi!

Either way, we’re leaning into it.

Winter and good wine seem to go hand in hand. 🍷

This month, we've got two very good reasons to settle in for our midweek tastings.

Wednesdays we head west, pouring the wines of 3 Drops from Mount Barker, WA. A producer we've admired for years and love that we get to share it with you.

Thursdays we're off to Beaujolais, exploring five of the region's famed crus through the wines of Domaine de la Beche and Domaine Matray. A chance to discover just how different Gamay can be from village to village.

As always, it's completely free.

The heaters will be on, the tunes will be good, and the wines will be flowing from 5–7pm every Wednesday and Thursday.

Come for a taste, stay for a chat, and if this week doesn't suit, don't worry. We'll be pouring these producers on the 24th & 25th also.

Winter nights at Meccanico 🫶🏽

A drink to start, pasta somewhere in the middle, maybe tiramisu if the table can be convinced. (We’ve never met a table we can’t convince 😉)

The room gets louder as the night rolls on, glasses keep filling back up, and dinner settles into it’s own pace.

Friday & Saturday evenings in Wagga are looking pretty good this time of year.
