Friday we kick off with from 5PM plus a Brazilian x Afro-Congo celebration with BBQ, caipirinhas, DJs and dancers from 9pm (with a $20 door fee)

Saturday is low-key but with good music and even better company (that’s if you join us) with

Sunday we finish with SoulFood N’ Soundz from 1–7PM. Soul Food by and tunes from your favourite DJ !

Darwin and pearls go way back… long before cocktails were involved! From the early days of pearling along the northern coast to becoming one of Australia’s most iconic luxury exports, pearls have always been part of the Territory story. So naturally… we had to turn that into a drink. Introducing the Pearl Diver!

Clearly you all love it as much as we do… because someone’s already been pinching our shells 👀 So now we’re thinking it might be time for a collab with ..… what do you say? Help your local Territory bar out with a donation of some pearl shells?

The Territory is full of characters. People with stories that don’t get told often enough. So, we would like to start telling them.

Darwin Legends is a new monthly series at Rust where local portrait artist Catherine Miles will sit you down in front of some of the most interesting people the town has to offer, and you will draw them. Sometimes they’ll stick around after and play some music for you. Sometimes there’ll be a chance to ask them a few questions. Either way, you’ll leave knowing something you didn’t know when you walked in. And maybe with some new art skills to add to your portfolio too.

We’re kicking it off with someone most of you will already recognise. Julio (the Cockatoo Man). A classic Darwin icon if there ever was one.

All levels welcome. Your ticket includes a welcome drink, drawing materials, tuition from Catherine, and a shot at a $50 Rust token for the best portrait on the day.

Tickets are limited for this first one. So don’t be shy about it.

The Burn-Off. Scotch, Mezcal, Ginger infusion, Lime And Agave Syrup. And then smoked. Probably reminds you of driving down to Litchfield in the Landcruiser, and there is a controlled fire on both sides of the road during the season. But tastes better.

Yoko Hype is back at Rust and bringing their dusky electronica-blues and saxophone-laden late night portfolio of works.

Have a cocktail with us and ease into it. If you were at the last Yoko Hype, you know there might be an impromptu karaoke session following. This will however depend on the energy of our French patrons though, and how much Chartreuse Green they take. You know this. But feel free to encourage them in their habit.

Yes, Trivia is back at Rust and hosted by our most preferred and irreverent talent Brent, from Fruit Bat. Every Thursday from April 2nd through to May 7th.

You asked for it. Many of you were rather persistent about wanting it. And some of you were almost a little too persistent at times... and I won’t mention any names because I’m a gentleman (it was Erin from Rusty Keyholes). But after the campaign, heartache and peer pressure, I didn’t feel like I had much of a choice.
So here we are. Six weeks of competitive trivia at Rust.
From what I understand it’s going to be some good fun, and occasionally at your expense. I’m looking forward to it.
