Dear Nipper Families

The BBQ roster will be emailed every Thursday to each relevant Age Group. Please ensure you have allowed email/SMS communication in your SLS Hub account. If you are not sure, ring the office to check.

This Sunday 18th October the following Age Groups are on BBQ duty:

8.15am - 9.30am - Under 8 WHITE
9.30am - 11.00am - Under 7 WHITE
11.00am -12.15pm (This shift includes clean and Pack away BBQ) - Under 9 WHITE

**4 Parents per age group must attend the BBQ session

Cooks Hill Surf Lifesaving Club is proud to host the inaugural Camp Quality Little Nippers Day.

We have over 40 Camp Quality children bursting with anticipated excitement at the idea of spending some time on our wonderful beach.

To make this day a memorable one for all involved, we are looking for 15-20 volunteer lifesavers to assist with water safety and beach activities. The only pre-requisites include a commitment to have fun, laugh and bring plenty of joy to a special bunch of kids. Lifesavers of all ages from the young to the more experienced are most welcome.

The day begins at 8.00a.m. and concludes with a BBQ lunch and presentation by 1.00p.m.

Date: Saturday 14th November 2026.

What to wear: Patrol uniform and a big big smile.

What a wonderful start to the Nipper season! It was fantastic to see so many families come along to support Nippers. Our community is thriving, and it is a joy to watch the children enjoying themselves and building their confidence in the surf.

To help keep things running smoothly for everyone, here are a few friendly reminders:
-Add the important dates to your calendar.

-Volunteers needed – More volunteers are needed to keep Nippers running; no experience is required and support is provided. Offers of help can be sent to [email protected].

-Uniform Shop – The shop is open Sundays from 8.00am to 11.00am until the end of October; a limited supply of Size 8 long-sleeve rashies is available, with more expected on the way.

-Sign in and sign out – Parents must be present and seen by the Age Manager at sign-in and sign-out, and children must wear their caps only while officially in nipper session.

-BBQ roster – The roster will be shared Thursday, with each age group needing four helpers for one hour; parents should proactively volunteer and advise the Age Manager that your child will not have the primary parent on the beach with them.

A QUICK NOTE FOR OUR AGE MANAGERS: Record Age Manager attendance and direct parents to the BBQ before the session begins.

-Record Water Safety volunteers’ full names and attendance on the roll or direct them to the tent to complete the Water Safety Volunteer Sheet.

-Set up a WhatsApp group for each age-group colour to support communication.

Water Safety Volunteers Needed!

Nippers can't get in the water without qualified Water Safety volunteers, and we currently have several age groups that need extra support during their sessions.

If you have a current Bronze Medallion or SRC and can lend a hand, we'd love to hear from you! Even helping out for one session makes a huge difference and helps keep our Nippers safe and active in the water.
