Hailing from Mulubinba/Newcastle, Equalise crafts a dynamic sound that moves fluidly across the UKG, breaks and bass music spectrum. His journey into music began years ago with psytrance, sparked by a collection of CDs gifted to him at events, an experience that ignited a lasting passion for digging deeper and discovering new sounds.

Since then, his evolution has been driven by curiosity and a sharp ear for rhythm, reflected in a series of radio shows and guest mixes that showcase both versatility and precision. Seamlessly navigating a wide range of bpm’s and genres, Equalise has built a reputation for thoughtful selections and engaging, high energy sets.

He has brought his sound to a variety of staple events, including Dragon Dreaming Festival, Art Valley Festival, 404 Warehouse, Palace, Daydreaming, Newy Bass Crew and Illogical, with each performance further refining his identity behind the decks.

Expect a carefully curated journey of hard hitting rhythms, rolling basslines and infectious grooves, music designed to lock you in and keep you moving from start to finish.

Welcoming for the 8th instalment of our mix series!

Equal parts bass weight, bounce and bite, Flomax brings the heat. With roots in funk and soul as a bass guitarist growing up, she’s always been wired for rhythm. After stepping away from music at 18 to pursue art and tattooing, she spent years stomping on the dancefloors. Now she’s behind the decks and fully in her element.

Her sets sit in the sweet spot between breakbeat, bass, and UKG. There's a rawness to her sound but it's tight, punchy, and will make you move. Expect funky bass, cheeky twists and big, low-end moments, sprinkled with her signature Flomax sass. Mixing by instinct she knows when to give a crowd space, then hit back twice as hard.
Flomax has been making noise with sets at Chinese Laundry, The Get Down, Almost Keen, Newy Bass Crew, Rhythm at Dusk, Powder Your Nose and was one of the few to play at Esoteric 2025 RIP.

I recorded this mix inside our tiny home, parked up on a lookout near the Byron Hinterland one rainy sunset. This beautiful setting created the perfect environment for me to lean deeper and experiment with some new tricks and transitions while also pushing up the tempo beyond my usual comfort zone.

Expect to hear some of my signature percussive and funk inspired breaks nestled around UKG and dub influences. As always you’ll hear a tasteful balance between older cuts and newer sounds.

I’ve been really inspired recently by classic D&B and jungle— especially from artists such as the E-Z Rollers and Wax Doctor. I really love the selection of tunes In this mix, using tracks at 80/160bpm with soulful voices, intricate drum work and deep grooves with a taste of juke bounce towards the end! It’s been so fun putting this together and exploring more music and artists along the way.

Welcoming for the 6th instalment of our mix series.

Thomas Jeffrey is a dubstep/140 dj & producer currently based on NSW’s Mid North Coast, who has been coming up in the dubstep/140 scene, gaining support from international DJs such as Riz La Teef, Deep Tempo and Truant.

Influenced by sound system and dubplate culture, his tracks range from sub heavy wobblers, 4x4 steppers and more ambient techno leaning dubs.

Welcoming Odjek for the third instalment of our mix series!

Odjek is a UKG producer and DJ from Eora/Sydney, and a key member of the Gennyada collective. He’s been making waves with his recent track ‘Official’ which was recently released on Extra Spicy.

Growing up in the Aussie doof scene, Odjek's early demos were all about psytrance and DnB. 2018 was a turning point for Odjek after listening to TQD’s Mixmag set. The sounds inspired him and propelled his music towards UKG and bassline. The UK dance scene has always been a huge influence for Odjek, thanks to his pommy father’s deep connection to the scene in the late 80s and early 90s.

Recently, Odjek played a sold-out Chinese Laundry party called ‘C’est La Vie’, where he closed the main room with a dark, intense DnB set that left the crowd buzzing.

Welcoming Blames Jake for the first mix of our series!

Blames Jake is a Sydney / Eora bass music connoisseur, lover of low frequencies and the many sonic hybrids stemming from UK sound system culture. He recently supported pioneering UK artist Loefah at Dayshift's Swamp 81 takeover in January, and has featured for Sydney heavyweights Big Ting Recordings, Decay and Eclectic.

Alec Sander (aka Wompa) is a co-founder of Sydney based event collective DUNJ and has been DJing in Sydney for over 10 years. Alec Sander is a vinyl connoisseur, loop daddy on the CDJs and is best known for his bass focused outlook, extra long sets and broad taste in music. Alec Sander’s involvement with DUNJ has enabled him to support world renowned acts such as Goth Trad, Vivek, Kahn & Neek, Fis, Pyur, Pinch & Mungos Hi-Fi to name a few. DUNJ as a collective has become an integral part of Sydney’s underground music scene and has organised well over 100 unique events and played host to over 60 unique international artists and over 300 unique domestic artists.

DUNJ is not Alec Sander’s only musical outlet. Alec Sander is also part of local internet radio duo Mood Support alongside fellow DUNJ Crew resident Swisherman. Alec Sander has also launched his own lathe cut record label called Only Choice, focusing on lathe cut vinyl & dubplate culture.

Alec Sander has been known to DJ and cater for all occasions. In addition to his main and original passion; dance floor bass music, Alec Sander is well versed in closing sets at techno warehouse parties, day time sets at house music events, morning downtempo sets at the kick on, selector style reggae dub sets and even some disco sets here and there. Alec Sander has a real passion for DJing and he likes nothing more than preparing for a challenging DJ set for almost all occasions.
