Wow what a day!

The Loddon Valley Food and Wine Expo would like to thank you for your attendance.

Saturday’s luncheon had a room full of food and wine lovers from all over the state. The eight courses served were not only filling, but delicious and really showcased the produce from the Loddon Valley!

The wine was flowing which got the conversations sparking. Karen Martini not only prepared all the meals but she also had time to have discussions with the crowd, stallholders and to even make it outside for a quick dance with the band.

Outside our stall holders and attendees had a warm day, but there were plenty of conversations about how the products are made and best used.

Thank you to everyone involved who made the day possible. This was a large community effort and everyone’s participation is appreciated.

Funding from Regional Development Victoria helped the event significantly as well as support from the Loddon Shire Council. We also received an overwhelming amount of sponsorship from local businesses.

A special thank you to the Loddon Southern Development Committee members. If it wasn’t for Jill Temby’s initial brilliant idea and the effort that Dot Silke, Norma Sokolowski and Sue Horsley put into working behind the scenes, the expo would not have been possible.

Tickets for the Luncheon with Karen Martini have officially SOLD OUT!

Don’t panic though you still will have a chance to see her during the day around the stalls.
Tickets for tastings on the day which include a tasting glass are $20 and general entry is $10 (kids under 16 years free). These can either be purchased at gate on the day or prepurchased online here: https://www.melbournefoodandwine.com.au/program/river-feast-with-karen-martini-7111

Buses are also available on the day. Bookings are essential. The Bendigo bus cost $10 return and is to be paid for in cash on the day. Only two days to go until the Loddon Valley’s biggest Food and Wine event of the year!

A few reminders for the day:
• Feel free to bring picnic rugs and or chairs, however we will have seating available
• Bring some cash for the stalls.
• Unfortunately no dogs are allowed at the event due to health and safety regulations.
• No smoking permitted at the event.
• No BYO food and drinks
• It is going to be a warm day with a high UV rating so please be SunSmart, wear hats, sunscreen and sunglasses. We will be providing shade on the day and our information stall will have sunscreen available.
• Tickets for general entry and tastings are available at the gate on the day. If tasting please be prepared to show your ID for proof of age. Tickets are $20 for tastings, $10 for general (kids under 16 years free)
• We do have buses running on the day from Bendigo, Wedderburn and Dunolly but bookings are essential. To ensure you don’t miss out on a seat go to http://bit.ly/LVFWBuses to book.

The Melbourne Food and Wine Festival has officially begun! Over the next two weeks more than 200 events will run across Melbourne and Regional Victoria.

It’s a time to explore our state’s gastronomic playground and experience something new.
