TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT!
We have got the venue, the brews are flowing, the spit is set, the bands are prepped, and the Swallow crew are ready... all we need is you!
Five years of community, craft beer, and great times in the Derwent Valley culminates tonight. Come raise a glass with us!

12:00 pm to 3:00 pm: Open for lunch, brews, and walk-ins.

3:00 pm: Official ticketed Birthday Event kicks off

4:00 pm to 6:00 pm Berimbau takes the stage! Specialising in rich Brazilian rhythms from samba to bossa nova, choro, and forró.

7:00 pm to 9:00 pm: Slats joined by a cooking soul rock trio, delivering world-class blues, soul, rock, and funk.

Dinner: Argentinean feast fresh off the spit by Dom

It was pretty much love at first sight when I stumbled upon this slightly hidden, light filled warehouse and noticed a small for rent sign in the window.

It has been a long journey of nearly 7 years since we acquired the keys and got to work reinventing the space. A global pandemic and two long years of stubborn, unwavering persistence finally led us to opening our doors to you.

Hedging our bets on "build it and they will come" and not really knowing what to expect, our hearts were warmed as locals poured through the doors and our dreams of cultivating community finally began.

A massive thank you to everyone who has supported and believed in Nige, Elias, and the amazing swallow crew over the years. Especially our loving local community who truly make the Swallow the special place it is.

It really does take a village to raise a Swallow!

Ever wondered why we are called the Welcome Swallow?

Just like the bird that always finds its way home, the first sighting of a Welcome Swallow tells us that spring is here. That is exactly why our painted swallow sits right at the back of the brewery looking over us all, so we can always find our way back home to great beer and even better, a community we love.
Big shout out to the talented Jamin for his skills in painting our guardian.

Next Saturday, 29th August, we are celebrating 5 years of Welcome Swallow Brewery. Looking back at where we started has us reminiscing about all the brews along the way. Hey folks… just a shout out to save the date!!!
Our 5th birthday for the Swallow taproom is fast approaching and we have decided to make an awesome party of it!! 🥳
The super talented Jed Picket has curated us an awesome afternoon of music… we are flying in Slatsapalooza from Melbs and will boogie the evening away with local legends Berimbau 💃🏽🕺🏻
We thought it was time to fire up the Argentinian grill and are bringing in the big gun “Dominator” 🤣 to cook up a feast!!!
Great music, great food, great company and great beeer!!
Lucky door prize and other surprises on the day!!
