e cold beer… and our signature steak sandwich! Kristen Stevenson is the owner & director of the Nebo Hotel. A Queensland native, she grew up in Mackay, where she worked for several years in the service industry and developed her passion for incredible customer service. In 2017, she relocated to Nebo with her 6th generation Nebo born partner Ben and their three children to lead a more simplistic and wholesome rural lifestyle. Along with her partner’s long lineage of cattle farmers tying him to the town, Kristen’s longing for community spirit is what drew them to Nebo. Once arrived, she instantly fell in love with the Nebo Hotel’s history, charm and potential. Since then she has worked tirelessly to expand and develop the historic establishment for locals, workers and tourists alike. Most notably, she has developed an accommodation program for miners working away from home, and in 2023, will see the opening of a new pizza shop and additional accommodation section in the hotel. Kristen is at the helm of the operation at the pub and hotel and is passionate about highlighting the spirit of the Nebo community in every corner of the premises through
